Coaches and Mentors

Coaches enjoying some quiet in the lounge.
The Coaches Lounge is for coaches and mentors only – a place to gather together near the action (but a lot quieter).

Coaches and Mentors of participating teams can enter the event for free.

Your team can eat before coming to the Team Social or have food delivered to the WRC and eat in our designated eating areas. Information about local pizza and sub take out is provided.

The Cedar Valley Gamer Brigade bring a custom selection of table top and card games for teams to try, including games that align with the current year’s FIRST theme and cooperative games. This is often listed as one of the highlights of the event!

Information Tables and Door Prizes

UNI departments set up tables in the entrance hall with information about specific majors and activities on campus. Faculty or students may be at these tables with hands-on activities and/or to answer questions. Door prizes will be awarded in this area as well. Stop by to see if you’ve won!

Dinner/Food

Food is not provided as a part of the team social. However, teams are welcome to bring food into the event and eat in designated areas. There are several lounges and we have set up one of the upstairs gyms for eating. Your Team Social event packet will include information about local pizza and sub shops that deliver and instructions for having food delivered to the event for your team. Some teams choose to eat before they arrive. Do what works for you! Food is not allowed in the other gyms, pools, rock climbing, or game room.

Tag-a-longs

Teams/Chaperons may purchase tickets for younger siblings (aged X and above) traveling with their team. Each Tag-a-long’s parent/guardian must complete and provide an event liability waiver and an adult must supervise them at all times. Some activities may be limited by age and/or size.
